You can visit Prague at any time of the year. Whether it’s romantic spring, hot summer, colorful autumn, or snowy winter, each season comes with breathtaking panoramas that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. What is the weather like in Prague throughout the year, and which months are best for a visit? Let’s take a look.
Share:As mentioned, it’s difficult to pick just one month or season when Prague is at its most pleasant and beautiful. To be honest, no one can guarantee perfect weather during your chosen travel dates. Even in summer, which is generally warm, you might encounter cooler periods or even unpleasant rain. Spring might arrive late, and winter could come early. You might look forward to a romantically snowy Prague but end up with rain or just icy winds. In short, the weather might not be ideal, but Prague will still have plenty to offer.
Here’s what to keep in mind: During winter, expect cold weather, typically from November to March. From March onward, temperatures should start to rise, but the arrival of true spring can be unpredictable. If you’re lucky, you might experience spring as early as March, but it’s safer to expect it in April or May. Mid-May is usually a good bet. Warm summer weather typically starts in mid-June, peaks in July, and, with a bit of luck, can last until September. October usually brings a noticeable drop in temperatures, leading into winter once again.
